Cаnnеd fruit iѕ uѕuаllу surrounded bу high fruсtоѕе соrn ѕуruр аnd thе canned vеgеtаblеѕ аrе loaded with ѕаlt. It is bеttеr tо go to the рrоduсе section in a ѕuреrmаrkеt or еvеn bеttеr, tо a lосаl fаrmеr'ѕ market and buy frеѕh fruitѕ аnd vеgеtаblеѕ. It iѕ bеѕt tо аvоid thеѕе places аltоgеthеr whеn сhооѕing tо аvоid processed foods.

How I Lost 40 Pounds over a 6 week period.

In 2007 my attitude towards my personal health changed. I started to really pay attention to what I put in my body. I really started understanding the fact that our bodies are a temple serious and started my quest to educate myself on what I should put in my body. I’ve learned a lot, but it wasn’t all at once, it was over time. The first thing I stopped doing was drinking sodas because I knew they were bad for you.  I only thought of the acid levels, carbs, and calories, not for the sugar content.  So, even though I had stopped drinking the sodas, I was still grossly overweight. See, I substituted sodas for sweet tea, which wasn’t a good substitute. Sweet tea can have just as much sugar as a soda. Also, I had stress at level 10 and I still had very bad eating habits. I thought exercise was the answer, but I was too far over weight to start an exercise program. Growing up I played all types of sports and was in tip top shape in my twenties.  I found myself in my late thirties needing to lose 65lbs to be at my ideal weight. Every time I tried to jog or do jumping jacks, I would injure myself. My knees would go out and I would end up “peg legging” it for weeks. I remember going on a trip to Las Vegas where I had to sit in a certain seat on the plane because I could not bend my knee.  This very unstable exercise regimen continued for about two years.  I was really becoming fed up until one day I realized that I was going about this “weight loss” journey in the wrong way.  It finally hit me in early 2009 that I needed to turn to the Bible for help.
As I began researching what I perceived people ate in beginning times, I learned that their diet might have consisted of nuts, seeds, fruits, vegetables, and small portions of meat.  This assumption really made a big impact on me.   I eliminated breads, pastas, sweets (except dark chocolate), deep fried foods, and all processed foods.
Many adults are not as active in their thirties, forties, and so on as they were when they were teenagers. Once someone becomes as grossly overweight as I was, a plan must to be put into place. I pre-planned my meals so that I could reach my goal.  By pre-planning, I knew how many calories that I wanted to intake every day. I knew what I would eat and when, so when lunch time came around, I was not tempted to just grab something unhealthy from a fast food restaurant or a snack machine just to get through the day.  Also, starvation is not the answer. Although I did do some single day fasting during the 6 week period but, you can only do it for in-between eat days. I’ll talk about this in later blog posts. You must eat to have sustained weight loss. So with that said, your diet must become your way of life and not some temporary fad.
I really want to help you become the person you want to be, but it all starts with you. Desire is the starting point of all Achievement. If you have a burning desire to become the person that you have always desired to be, then continue reading. This will change your life forever.

Tough Love
You are where you are in life based on the decisions you have made in the past. To change your future you must change the decisions you make today. Deciding to continue with this shows your desire to change. You are a manager whether you know it or not. You manage your body, your mind, your spirit at all times. You own them. You have to bring them in harmony with each other. When you have no discipline you make managing any of the three difficult. So, how do you obtain the discipline to manage?
You obtain the discipline to manage through your words and thoughts. Have you heard this saying before? “It matters not how strait the gate, How charged with punishments the scroll. I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul.” (William Ernest Henley) . You are the responsible party and it’s time to be in control. You have the ability to reach your goals in weight loss, finance, relationships and any other goal you want to achieve. I strongly urge you to invest in The Bug Free Mind. This well designed program will help you overcome and get back on track. I highly recommend it.

Define Your Desire
It’s not enough to just say I want to lose weight. Determine exactly where you desire to be and find pictures that represent your ideal weight and define by word what that means to you.
For example: I desire to be at 205 pounds. So, I find pictures that represent how that would look to me. You could cut them out of a magazine. Print them from online. Whatever avenue you have, use it to get the imagery of what you desire.
Next, find words that represent the imagery that you have about your desire.
For example: Perfect Health. You would turn this into an affirmation like I am in Perfect Health. You always want to state your affirmation in present tense form. Jesus Christ said in Mark 11 verse 24 "Therefore I say unto you, what things so ever ye desire, when ye pray, believe (you must know) that ye receive them, and ye shall have them".
It is very important to affirm in this manner. You will need to master this, because the enemy is going to try to steal your desire. Proverbs 18 verse 21 "Death and Life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof".
See the enemy comes in all forms. You mentally have stand on what is true for your life. Your own ego flesh will whisper to you all the reasons why you can’t be successful. But, you are in control, so keep your mind in the present and only observe what is going on.

Example: Your best friend tells you while you're out and seeing the 700 calorie desert you always get: "You only live once, be happy". Internally, you must stand on your affirmation. If your affirmation is I am in perfect health. Affirm this mentally. Affirm it as many times as needed while in your mind’s eye seeing yourself as you are when you have made your goal. The self-internal talk has to be what sustains you. Remember, you are the manager. You control your Mind, Body, and Spirit, so don't be controlled by outside forces.

Lose Weight and STOP Yo-yoing

If you have been struggling with weight loss or have been continously on a yo-yo diet, continue reading for a solution to your problem.

There are several ways to lose weight but, in my opinion there is only one way  to lose weight and keep it off, and that's through proper diet and nutrition. According to studies 1 fat pound is equal to approximately 3500 calories. Although there are some variances to this study, such as amount of weight to lose, this study really lands on common sence. Just like my Dad use to say, "If you want to lose weight, just eat less". Not only is this simply said, but it can be easily done as well. You have to make it so within before it becomes the reality outwardly. Refer to the blog "Weight Lose Begins in the Mind". The truth of the matter is that you control your results. No matter what the excuse is, or was, that put you in the place you're in now, at this instance let it go. Today, determine in your mind that you are going on this journey and will make your destination no matter what.

It's my opinion and from my own experience in weight loss that your diet is most important. This is why in my opinion,  if you have more than 30 ponds to lose, you must get your diet right before you even considering working out. The reason I'm suggesting this is due to pure math. Follow me for a moment, If 1 fat pound is approximately 3500 calories, then to effectively lose weight you must create a deficit. There are a few ways to create this deficit, but only one way to have sustainable success and that is through proper diet. I'm not talking about a particular diet, I'm talking about a lifestyle change. Getting your diet right means getting your daily eating right. Now, let's look at the math and you make the decision. In future blogs we will talk about different foods and how they react in your body. But, now it's important that you understand that you must create your deficit through your food choices.

I'm not going to put you in a shock and tell you at this instance to stop eating certain foods, but, I will tell you to journal your foods, then research the nutritional data for the food. If you have a smart phone, download the Fooducate app. It will allow you to scan the UPC codes for any item you buy that has a UPC bar code.

You want to create a deficit through your food choices, not through exercise and this is the reason why I suggest.
1 Glazed yeast Doughnut  = Approximately 240 calories, that's almost the equivalent of doing 88 minutes of crunches to equal 240 calories burned. If you are trying to lose weight and keep it off, it's my opinion that it would be easier to just not eat the doughnut.
A Cheeseburger and Fries = Approximately 691 calories, that's the equivalent of being on the elliptical for 141 minutes. Do you follow me now? When I lost 40 pounds over a 6 week period of time, I didn't exercise at all. As matter of fact, the work I did consisted of me sitting a desk for 10 to 12 hours a day. No, I didn't even walk, I changed my eating habits and the weight came off.

Plan Of Action

Hi Friends, 

You have decided that you want to lose those unwanted pounds and that's great. Now, you have to develop a plan of action and execute it to be successful.  The weight didn't come overnight and is not going to leave overnight.

When I was younger, I  could almost eat anything and not gain weight. This is because growing up during my generation, the children played outside.  We were extremely active.  As we age and become less active, our metabolism that used to burn calories like a steel mill furnace, now has slowed down.  If we continue to eat as if that furnace is still active, then we gain weight. Don't get me wrong,  sustainable weight loss comes from eating.  That is,  eating the right foods. Become a student and learn how different foods react inside your body as they are broken down. Learn all about this in an eBook titled " Shortest Way to a Leaner You in 7 Days".  This eBook breaks down The Glycemic Index and how eating the right foods can turn your body into a fat shedding machine.

You are going to have to prepare your meals in advance so you can know what you are going to eat and when. Take the guessing out of it. That way, you can stay on schedule. Be consistent, because if you are not, the enemy will sneak in and derail your efforts. You have to know where you are going in order to get there. Change Your Mind Change Your Life.

Hi Friend,
I desire that this help you much. If you are here for weight loss you are at the right place. Whatever your weight loss goals are you are about to reach them. You see, weight loss starts in the mind. It starts as a desire. So, before you start purchasing weight watchers products online or buying weight loss pills online you must make sure your desire is a burning obsession. Affirm this truth through your self talk.

This exert by Napoleon Hill in the book "Think and Grow Rich" states: "Desire is the starting point of All Achievement, not a hope, not a wish, but a keen pulsating desire which transcends everything." You must put you desire into action. Write down your desire so you can see it as a constant reminder of the direction you are going. Create an affirmation of your desire, but remember when creating the affirmation make sure it is stated as if it was already complete. There is an excellent program called The Sculptor Method that will help you understand affirmations and how they affect your direction. Develop a image of how your completed goal will look. Cut pictures from magazines, download them from the internet or you can create a Mind Movie using software available online.

The Bible tells us that the thief comes not, but for to steal, and to kill and to destroy, John 10:10. The thief is your enemy and he will come to try to take your desire. But, you have to guard yourself. This is the reason you must develop the image, create the affirmations, post your desire where you can see it. Your words are powerful and can stop the enemy in his tracks. What I'm referring to you here is the self talk that goes on within. The enemy will make you doubt and if you are not guarded with the truth the enemy will destroy your desire. What is the Truth? The truth is what you affirm as true for you.

Example: I am in perfect health. This is an affirmation that is stated in the present tense which when spoken or thought attaches the image and feelings to what that looks like for you. When the enemy attacks you, you must hold on to this truth. Here's the deal, most of the attacks from the enemy are coming directly from your ego self. To get all that you desire out of life, you must be in control of your mind. This means being objective to your thoughts. I would like to refer you to some of the best work I have witness. A Bug Free Mind will lead to an understanding that will awaken the creative nature that's always been within you. A way to get anything you desire in life. 

I really know you can reach all your goals in life and I desire your success.

Introduction

Hi! My name is Dennis. In 2007 I was at a low point in my health. My weight was 270 lbs which was way over weight for my height of 6 ft 1. Every attempt I was making to lose weight, the way that I understood at the time , kept resulting in injury. I grew up playing sports and working out, so the way I thought I needed to drop weight was through working out. Every time I attempted to work out one of my knees would go out.  Then, what little gains I made were set backs, and because I didn't change my eating habits, the weight loss became weight gain. In March of 2007, I cut the roof of my mouth eating Dorito's. The result of the cut lead to Bells Palsy, which dropped the left side of my face. I was at work the day that it happened, people there thought I was having a stroke. The strange thing was, no one called the paramedics. What's that all  about? Well anyway, I ended up driving myself to the emergency room, and after being checked out it was determined that I had Bells Palsy. The doctor referred me to a Neurologist to make sure everything was ticking right in my brain. The method used to check me out was a CAT scan, where your head is braced and your body is slid into a tight area. I don’t know whether it was due to closet phobia or not, but I felt very uncomfortable in the small space. They had to actually let me out because I open my eyes and almost lost the mind that they were trying to examine. Well, I went to the bath room and gave myself a  motivational talk to make it through. It was at that point that I promised myself that I would not drink another soda as long as I lived. I started thinking about how the health choices that I had made had me in the situation that I was in. So, I stopped that day, and I have kept that promise to this day and will continue to keep it.

Growing up I played all sports and was in tip top shape.  Now here I am was in my late 30’s needing to lose 70 lbs to be at my ideal weight. Every time I tried to jog or do jumping jacks, I would injure myself. My knees would go out and I would be peg legging it for weeks. I remember going on a trip to Las Vegas where I had to sit in a certain seat because I couldn’t bend my knee. This continued on and off  for about two years until I was fed up. Then one day it hit me all of a sudden! I was led to look at the Bible for help. I started thinking about the foods that they may have eaten in the beginning. My thoughts were that they had to eat only real foods, nothing processed. I wasn't there in the beginning, but I realized they had to live off the land. This meant a diet of nuts, seeds, fruits, vegetables and certain meats. I began substituting meals and started eating 250 to 300 calorie meals every 2 to 3 hours during the day. I began to be a student of health, learning how foods react in your body and what foods to avoid for weight loss. 

After I had dropped weight to about 235 lbs, I started working out. I had gotten down to 218 lbs when I tore my quadricep tendon in my left knee. It took me 15 months before I could actually run again. During that period of time, I had regained 20 lbs. I continued to be a student of diet and nutrition and continued tweaking my daily diet and habits. Today, I'm around 200 lbs and in the shape I was in when I was in my early twenties. You too can reach all your goals in life. Weight loss, along with all things, starts in the mind.  That's where the victory is won!
